Obituary:

J. D. Sharp
Anderson -- John D. Sharp, 79, died in an Anderson hospital at 5:40 p.m. Friday (June 20, 1958) after a year's illness.
He was a son of the late Dr. W. K. Sharp and Maria Ledbetter Sharp. Born in Anderson County, he was a retired farmer.
Surviving are two sons, Winfield Sharp of Sandy Springs. Lt. Col. John D. Sharp Jr. with the U. S. Army in Bagdad, Iraq; two daughters, Mrs. George McCall of Newberry, Mrs. George Milan of Sandy Springs; a sister, Mrs. Floyd Stevenson of Townville; three brothers, Dr. W. K. Sharp of Nashville, Tenn., Dr. Oliver Sharp of Greensboro, N. C., Frank Sharp of Clemson; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Byron Milton. Burial willl be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Garrison, Thomas Milan, Henry Milan, David Heller, Marcus Gregg, Winfield Sharp IV.
Honorary escort will be Dr. J. B. Shirley, L. G. McCraw, Arthur Garrison, J. F. Hicks, W. G. Erwin, R. P. Harbin.
The body is at Sullivan-King Mortuary, and the family is at the home of Mrs. George Milan in Sandy Springs.
