Notes: Rev War soldier (National Archives has nothing on him). Had land in Chatham Co, NC from 1786 on. 1790, 1800, 1810 census in Chatham Co., NC. 1820, 1830 census in Jones Co., GA. In 1826 Jacob gave a slave and land to grandaughter Sarah Jane Stewart, land remaining in the care of Samuel McDaniel until Sarah became of age. Slaves, wagons, furniture and cows also given to Jacob Jr, Samuel and Elizabeth (at her mothers death). Elizabeth, the wife of Jacob, went to Arkansas with daughter Elizabeth. She disbursed of land from land lottery in Georgia while she was in Arkansas with the help of her son in law William Owen Davis.

Children: (due to the separation between after the first two children and the rest I suspect that Elizabeth is the mother of children from Samuel on)
