Elizabeth S. Day, 78
Mrs. Elizabeth Starling Day, 78, of Route 1 Molena (Lifsey Springs community) died on Monday May 9th at Clayton General Hospital in Riverdale. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 11 in the Chapel of the Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hately and Rev. Lon Day officiating. Interment followed in the College Park Cemetery in College Park.
A native of Upson County, Mrs. Day was a retired sales lady from the F. W. Woolworth Stores in Atlanta and was a member of the Emanuel Baptist church near Meansville.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Caroline Day Goodroe, of Jonesboro; three sons, Mr. Ray L. Day of Jonesboro, Mr. Kenneth A. Day of Rochester, Washington, and Mr. Michael D. Day of Grand Forks, North Dakota; one sister, Mrs Matilda Carlton of Thomaston; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
