I Samuel Miller of Abbeville Dist. at this time being of sound mind and memory...I give to my son John Miller my negro boy Jack...I give to my dtr. Elizabeth the wife of John Webb, my negro woman Rachael... I give to my granddaughter Emily Webb, my negro Mary a child of Rachael...I give unto my grandson Samuel Webb, Peter a child of Rachael...I give unto Elizabeth Miller, dtr. of grandson Alexander Miller, my negro Susan a child of Rachael, I also appoint my grandson Alexander Miller to be Elizabeth's guardian...I give to my granddauther Jane Brown, my negro Jim a child of Peter, also my cupboard and contents...I will to my son John Miller my negro man Peter...I will the sum of $100 to each of my grandchildren living at the date of my decease, I also desire that John Webb, John Brown, and Robert Miller to act as guardian of said minors...I will to my sons John & Robert Miller the sum of $300...I direct after paying my just debts and funeral expenses the balance which may remain be divided equally between John Miller, Robert Miller, Elizabeth Webb and the chn. of my decd. daughter Margaret Brown the late wife of John Brown...I appoint John Miller, Alexander Miller and John Webb executors. (Codicil) I give to my son John Miller among other things, two negroes men, Old Peter, and his son Jack, at his death said negroes to go to son Alexander H. Miller, I aslo desire that Peter a negro boy to go to Samuel Webb, should he die without issue, said negroes to go to John Webb, Jr., brother of Samuel Webb. No date on codicil. Wit: James B.
